Good Day Folks!
I want to share with you a few positive notes today.
Our dining room will reopen this Sunday for Valentine’s Day. We ask that you please arrive between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM for dinner service. Reservations must be made by 1 PM the day before you wish to dine. Please note that limited seating is available. Meal delivery service will continue to run as it has been.
Speaking of Valentine’s Day… Show your love for others this holiday by purchasing a ‘forever’ rose to send to a Flushing House neighbor! Flushing House is selling each rose for $10 with all proceeds benefitting the George Nussbaum fund. Purchases can be made online by visiting FlushingHouse.com/donate or by calling (347) 532-3014.
We have had a tremendous response to the COVD-19 vaccinations being offered and we thank everyone for their patience and cooperation. If you wish to be added to the list of folks looking to receive a vaccination, please call Rochell at (347) 532-3005. She will add you to our list. As soon as vaccines become available to us, we will be taking residents to receive them on our van. Please note that we are still working tirelessly to set up an onsite provider to administer vaccinations, but as you can imagine they are in high demand.
If you are looking for a room or area to stay while sprinklers are being installed in your apartment, we encourage you to stay in the designated apartments set up or take a trip to the Movie Room on the first floor.
Looking forward to March, we will be hosting our St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the dining room. The Activities Department has some exciting plans to make the day special. Van trips will resume in March, we will keep you posted with more details as we get closer. The first trips will be to Target and the popular Dollar Store.
Keep up the great work. You are doing a wonderful job. I look forward to seeing you around our community.
Have a Great Day,
