George Nussbaum Fund – How does the fund work? As a not-for-profit, we never ask a resident to leave our community, when they are no longer able to pay for housing. To support this mission, the fund was established as a special endowment to subsidize residents who have fallen on hard financial times. We receive no government funds for this effort. Only your gift, and support from others, makes it possible for us to fulfill our mission of caring and compassion for older adults. You can strengthen our vision of a better life for older adults, by making a gift to Flushing House, and designating it for the George Nussbaum Fund.
